Cahors Malbec wines are good value
Blogs and buzz on the Internet are all about the lean times ahead because of the financial crisis. The new game for wine lovers is to find good wines at a nice price. Eric Asimov, the wine critic of the New York Times, wrote on his blog, "The Pour", a long article on French wines between $10 and $20 he thinks are good value. One of them is "the 2005 Clos Siguier from Cahors, the grape’s home region. Cahors is
known for heavy, somewhat stolid wines, but the Clos Siguier, at
$12.99, is a far cry from that, light and perfumed yet juicy and
refreshing."
